After studying about the history of the Mafia for many years and interviewing various figures from that world, starting with my mother’s Godfather Mob Boss Vincent “Jimmy Blue Eyes” Alo, I've come to the conclusion that the Mafia is Feudal & Fascist in nature.
(This is not an extensive history on my Mafia background. For that Visit my YouTube channel www.youtube.com/@TheWhyWeFightPodcast for that)

How the Mafia is Feudal and Fascist in Nature
Although it is difficult to conclude that the Mafia was and is political in nature, once you understand that all power comes from being political for your own pursuit, then it’s a simple issue to understand.
First, it is feudal in nature because it's origins date all the way back to the 13th century in Sicily, where Patriarchal leaders of small villages and cities secretly united as a fraternal militia, to purge the occupying French monarchical forces that brutalized the people throughout the country.
After successfully purging of the French army at the end of the “War of Vespers”, from 1282 to 1302, Sicilian Clans from then on existed as secret, and sometimes not so secret, societies, where their “Rights & Duties” to their country and communities were exercised according to Catholic doctrine as identified by St Thomas Aquinas. Their identity as Mafia was a battle Cry for declaring victory over the French. Their victory after the War was assured by the House of Aragon of Spain resulting in Pope Boniface VIII lifting the excommunication on the "Sicilian Rebels". Their reward was the independent Kingdom of Trinacria, later known as the Kingdom of Naples.
Secondly, they are Fascist in nature, because their authority was formed in the patriarchal structure of a hierarchy, with the purpose of protecting their nation, their people, their culture, their religion (Catholic) and not least of which, had a membership that was restricted to Italian in race only. Sicilian to be more specific.
This is no different than how other large Mafia organizations operated in different parts of the world including the Jewish Mafia in Eastern Europe and Russia. Nobody but Jews were allowed to be recruited amongst the ranks of the Jewish Mafia. So too with the Italians. This example can also be found in other continents such as the various Chinese and Japanese Mafias. For instance, there is no such thing as a Japanese Yakuza Boss from Scotland.
Therefore, the nature of Mafia, wherever it manifests, is Feudalistic, authoritarian, hierarchical, totalitarian, absolute, racially exclusive and is Fascist in form and essence. Not necessarily Nationalist for the host nation but its own nationhood. A power structure of a small Nation within a Nation. Ironically, many of these same attributes are found within the political philosophies of the Right, and yet I’ve found that the majority of the fan base of the Mafia genre is, paradoxically, from the political Left which loves speaking about Democracy. However, the Mafia is about as Democratic as the Japanese Shogun. It’s been a very strange discovery of mine. However, no matter where you may find a Mafia organization, I’ve also concluded that they obtain and keep power using these four basic tactics that I like to call “The Four Laws of Mafia Power.”
What are the Four Laws of Mafia Power?
If anybody has heard my podcasts and live talks on the subject, they would know by now that the Four Laws of Mafia Power that I speak of are:
Payola (Influence Peddling)
Extortion
Threats and Acts of Violence
Killing.
In reality, Payola is not only the name of my TV show that I created years ago, but is also a study in power and how the Mafia uses these tactics, not only among their criminal partners, but also in conjunction with local Law Enforcement, Congressman, Senators, Presidents and Federal agents, such as the FBI and CIA.
Speaking about cooperation between Mafia and authorities is nothing new, it really is dependent on who initiates the cooperation that determines whether Payola is involved. If the Mafia or other criminal organization wants to start an illegal gambling operation or drug trafficking route, Payola is offered to local law enforcement and politicians to make sure everything proceeds smoothly without inference. If the CIA approaches the Mafia for cooperation however, like they did during World War II in Operation Underworld and Operation Gladio, then it was a different matter.
Extortion is a rather simple idea. If a Wiseguy wants something or wants to do something that a civilian, Police or Government Official is preventing them from doing, and they refuse to take the payoff, they are then met with the next tactics. The person or people are then put under surveillance so the proper dirt can be found and documented or recorded. for future use. Paying a prostitute to approach a man or woman to be filmed while together is not unheard of either. Neither is planting drugs or criminal evidence nor catching them in an illegal act, later threatening to use such information against them. Such tactics are deployed to apply the right amount of pressure to convince the victim to cooperate with their enterprise.
Many civilians, when met with such threats, often simply take the payoff to avoid the inevitable confrontation of extortion. Surprisingly though, many think they're smarter than the professionals at this game and have no idea that the cops are often already in on it. The victim takes it upon themselves to resist the attempt to extort by going to law enforcement. This practically never works out for the civilian and causes the culprit to escalate his tactics further.
Escalation to violence is a very useful and fruitful tactic for experts in this line of work. Just watch the opening scene of the Pilot Episode of Sopranos when Tony had Christopher run over and break the leg of the indebted gambler. He paid up. As much as people want to deny it, violence works.
Of course, there’s always the rare obstacle that becomes the immovable object, and when that occurs there’s no other choice for the Mobster than using the last tactic in his toolbox, which of course is killing. This oftentimes clears the way to conduct business, removing the obstacle at hand, and sending a message to others about what will happen if they get in the way as well. In previous times, public executions like hangings in front of the courthouse for all townspeople to see, had the same effect.
As difficult as it is for many to admit, there isn’t a government, republic, monarch, empire or “democracy” that hasn’t used these same exact tactics to gain and keep power. Let alone use them, to keep others from accessing such power, so their position is not challenged.
As Machiavelli said in “The Prince”, “A ruler who wishes to maintain his power, must be prepared to act immorally when it becomes necessary” and that “When a ruler is newly in power. it is often necessary to kill the sons of Brutus.” The tactic of killing the sons of an executed enemy is, historically, an often-used method of ensuring that no future retaliation can be visited upon the ruler in the future. Both in the Mafia, as shown in Godfather II, as well as feudal Lords of the past, and modern rulers of today alike, it is sadly a very effective tactic.
However, I believe Machiavelli used the wrong term in explaining these actions as “immoral”. Oftentimes good and even righteous men have had to commit to violence to stop evil men to protect the innocent. It reminds me of the Japanese Martial proverb that, “The killing sword takes innocent life, but the life-giving sword takes life to protect the innocent.” You can find many such examples of this necessary action to protect the innocent throughout scripture, as well as Church historical writings of just wars and crusades.
In other words, to be political, is to have a healthy access to these same tactics. If used in a just manner for a just outcome, then it is not immoral to use them, but necessary in the protection of morality.
From now on, when you see any type of Mafia content, whether it is books, movies or television shows, keep in mind what I’ve pointed out and notice the similarities between power obtained and kept in the underworld, in comparison to the “legitimate” governmental authorities. Once you do, you’ll begin to understand why they have cooperated together, and have shared the same tactics (4 Laws of Mafia Power).
Become Political to Stop the Spread of Evil in Our Day
The average person that minds his business and lives his own life never even has such thoughts. The average law abiding civilian simply wants to work, pay his bills and have a good life. However, as the exposure of how corrupt the current political structure is and their operators, a just man realizes that the system is so sick with such people that the system CANNOT fix itself or BE FIXED.
The implications for the just man must end in the conclusion that he MUST become political. One doesn’t need to commit to physical violence or killing to be effective in helping maintain justice, but to see the objective manifestation of the injustice of the criminal class that rules the west, calls for white genocide and demographic replacement, robs the working man of his wages with foreign labor and seeks to rob the rightful inheritance of the very western men of their civilization, culture, technology and wealth away from our children and hand it over to an alien people, cannot be called anything other than criminal, vile and evil and so therefore one must act in defense.
Western men and our allies, take up your rightful position and do your job in fighting the injustice of the real Mafia that rules over us all. Their power is waning, yet they continue to attack. Defend the innocent.
“Blessed be the Lord my God, who teacheth my hands to fight, and my fingers to war.
My mercy, and my refuge: my support, and my deliverer: My protector, and I have hoped in him: who subdueth my people under me.” - Psalms 144: 1-2
